ModStomp 3.0

Welcome friends…

After over a year using our version 2.0 setup, we’ve decided it’s time to try something new. Not that we didn’t like version 2.0, we just can’t go too long before we feel the need to mess with stuff. For version 3.0 we’ve decided to go a completely new direction and use WordPress to build the site. Version 2.0 was all hand crafted using asp, which means 2 things…

1. we had a hard time letting go of something we’d worked so hard on and

2. it was pretty flimsy.

WordPress offers much more security and options built right in and it also offers us the opportunity to learn PHP.

Anyway… please be patient as we import our backlog of articles and reviews. We hope to post more often and get some more galleries and review content up fairly quickly so check back often.

Any Mac Lovers Out There?

Personally, I’m not really part of the Mac worshipping crowd. I actually owned an older Macbook for a while… and I loathed every moment of trying to accomplish anything useful on it. More recently, my father-in-law got an Ipod Nano. Holy Crap! Itunes may be ok for the mindless hoards of Mac users out there, but I prefer something a bit less… “controlling.”

Anyway, enough ranting for today. I stumbled upon a fun little site recently and thought I’d share. You may have seen a few of those Mac Add spoofs here and there, but the guys over at MacSpoofs.com had the foresight to collect them all in a single location. Head on over to MacSpoofs.com and enjoy the pure Mac hatred that exudes from each and every post.

Here’s one that’s sort of gaming related that I happened to find especially humorous:

Play Red Orchestra FREE This Week!

If you’re into WWII games (or if you’re just a Steam fanboy), you should check this game out. Red Orchestra is an online multiplayer adaptation of the Soviet-Nazi conflict during WWII and promises to be quite a good game. With plenty of cool vehicles to drive, slick weapon dynamics and killer graphics (duh, it’s running on Source) this game promises to to be loads of fun.

Check out the Steam announcement here and start preloading so you’re ready to play first thing tomorrow.
