That’s right, it’s Sid Meier’s Pirates!  It’s a great PC game, and the port looks to have been done very well.  I’m surprised there aren’t more games like this on the PSP.  I think developers worry too much about recreating the console shooter or sports game experience and forget about making unique games that work well for the unique console that is the PSP.  The games I dig on mine are the more casual ones, Lego Star Wars, Hot Shots Golf, and so forth.  If I want a shooter, I play on the PC.  If I want sports, I’ll play on the GameCube or PS2.  Anyhoo, my copy is on its way, so I’ll post a review once I’ve given it some quality time.
