Metroid By BitFlicks

The guys over at BitFlicks have created yet another sweet lego-mation video of one of the all time NES greats. This week Samus Aran gets a lego makeover as she blasts her way through the underworld of Planet Zebes. I’ve embedded the clip below, but you’ll have to head on over to BitFlicks to see the full size vid.

This Will “Wake” You Up

So you say you want next-gen eh? Well you aint gonna get it from your beloved 360….

It seems that Rememdy, the fun-loving guys that brought us the Max Payne franchise, have a TRUE next-gen title they’re working on. Alan Wake promises to pretty much blow us away with it’s multi-core required awesomeness. This game utilizes multiple processor cores to handle physics and environment simulation and the results are beyond insane. The video below shows just a little of what this engine is capable of and I have to admit that I’m now starting to greatly desire a jump to a multi-core platform.

Check out the clip and prepare to me amazed. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go change my shorts. I got a bit too excited.

A True Guitar Hero…

For the last couple months, we’ve been a tad addicted to guitar hero here at ModStomp. Every friday evening we have a jam session at the ModStomp cave and try to grind each other into powder as we attempt some of the more difficult tracks on hard and expert. But even with as much practice as we’ve had lately, the video below puts us all to shame. The quality of the video isn’t that great, but the godlike guitar hero-ing of this supreme being is enough to melt your eyebrows.

I can only hope that I’ll someday be half the guitar hero this anonymous shredder has become. I bow to him.

Lego Mario!

How freakin long did this take? They say it’s a mix between stop-motion legomation and cgi… I’d like to know how much of each were actually used. But either way, DANG! Makes me wanna go home and either bust out my legos or my NES, or maybe both… hmmmm… lego Samus?

BitFlicks is just starting out, but they say they’ll have more vids like this to come. Gotta love gaming nerds with too much time on their hands. Enjoy!

And How Do You Plan To Get There…?

A Portal you say?

Well that sounds like a right fine idea, it does.

Howsa bout a little demonstration?

Well I’ll be. Those kids at Valve sure seem to know what they’re doing. And now I have one more title to add to my “Crap! I gotta wait HOW long?” list.

Retro Food Gaming Rocks!

WHERE THE CRAP DO PEOPLE GET ALL THIS FREE TIME?!

Oh well… at least their efforts give me something to do as I sit at work for 8 hours a day twiddling my thumbs…

er…

uh…

Stop interrupting me! I’m trying to work here!
