What was that? You say you missed the first Day of Defeat: Source free weekend?
You say you’ve never played it?
Well, I guess its your lucky day… er… lucky weekend. Valve, in an effort to assimilate educate the masses on some of those community Source mods that they now offer as retail add-ons, are letting you play this one for free all weekend. This game normally sells for $20 through steam, but from July 7th to July 10th, you can play for FREE!!
Game Overview:
Think Counter-Strike between allied forces and zee Germans. The gameplay mode is more “Unreal Tournament: Assault”-ish where you have to control points on the map rather than kill rescue hosties, but it still obviously feels like Counter-Strike: Source because its the same game engine.
