Much like many other webby-computer-gaming nerds out there, I have a pretty regular web surfing schedule each day. Every morning when I arrive at work, I try to ease myself into the grind that is my day, and I find the best way to do that is to avoid any actual work for a good hour or so.
Once I’m comfortably situated in my stupid uncomfortable overpriced thoughtfully provided Aeron chair (be sure to watch the vid clips on this page to understand my relationship with this chair) and with an ice cold Dr. Pepper in my non-mousing hand I open up Firefox and begin the rounds…

I generally hit a few news sites and web comics as well, but you get the idea.
This strict regiment undoubtedly leads to additional browsing as a result of link-clicking on interesting articles and pictures. Most of the time those links lead me to sites I’ve been to before. Places where the afore mentioned blogs steal, er… find thier content pretty regularly. But last week I clicked a link that took me to a page I’d not yet seen before….
Don’t get me wrong… I’m all for tech geekery, but some of the stuff on this blog would make Bill “Captain Gazillionaire” Gates think twice before droppin that kinda cash. Some of the stuff on this site is pretty slick, but unless you’ve got a bank account like The Donald (or the pin to Trumps actual account) most of this stuff is just rediculous.
Ahhh…. to be insanely, shamelessly, filthy rich (like own your own island rich) and have nothing better to do with all that cash than to buy amphibious supercars. Someday…

I generally get lost in digg.com too. Mostly wrangling with evil liberal trolls in the comments.
Maybe that would make a good survey…
If anyone actually visits this page and would like to share… what sites do you visit on a daily basis?
Thanks for the plug! I make a few rounds…

Then I try to get to work.
When I ‘worked’ for the library I used to run an mmo news site. This meant I’d visit at least 10 sites a day on that one topic alone not to mention the rest of my routine. Oh the homework I could have been doing…
Working for eBay I tried to keep the sites down to 5 or 6 a day. Of course that doesn’t include the numerous various other sites people sent me to in order to waste precious corporate time.
Life without a job, and without a WoW guild, is different. My daily web routine includes yahoo mail and about 2 minutes of etrade.com stock quotes followed quickly by momentary suicidal thoughts.
Stupid stock market. Stupid Jazz. Stupid Mavs for that matter. And Stupid US soccer - not that I care, but it seemed fitting.
-Zac (with no h)
Hey now, let’s not get hasty. We should all thank the mav’s for playing a good series and getting their asses handed to them four games in a row.
Awww… c’mon Zac. You should know by now that eTrade should be avoided at all costs. At least if you want to maintain your sanity.
Studies have found that people who check their ebay stock daily generally die slow painful self-inflicted deaths. In most cases the suicide notes read (in scribbled almost illegible scrawl)…
“…should have sold at $118…”
