Hello all. Just read a post about Adam Mapleson, the guy who took a bullet for a stranger to stop a robbery. He’s in pretty bad shape, but he should be ok, fram what the reports are saying. Props to Adam for having some guts, and our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I’d like to toss out an official Modstomp policy, pending Rudeboy’s agreement, that we’ll post any press like this that shows gamers in a good light whenever we come across it. Gamers are awesome people who do a lot of good in the world, and it’s time that everyone started noticing.
I’ll go ahead and second that motion. Just as long as you stop spelling “from” with an “a”. I don’t need any more reminders to change my oil.
Also, props to Adam for having a set of steel nads and being willing to stand up to the scum threatening that security guard. Our society would be a lot better off if more people were willing to stand up for moral decency. It’s just too bad that in this particular case he had to get shot for being a nice guy. Here’s to hoping they catch the morons who shot him.
