How does the old addage go?
If it seems too good to be true…
Unfortunately for some folks, it takes a few classes down at the school of hard knocks before they really get a firm grasp on how things work in the “real world”. Take, for example, the poor eBayer who apparently thought he was getting a steal on a Playstation 3 (or several of them, depending on how he read, or didn’t read the description). In the defense of the moron buyer, the eBay Listing is a bit dodgy. The seller uses phrases such as “Not PRE-ORDERED” and “THERE IS NOWHERE TO FIND EVEN THE 20GB SYSTEMS THIS CHEAP”. Obviously these keywords were meant to grab the attention of buyers looking for actual PS3’s. Even so, it’s pretty clear that this listing is not for a Playstation 3.
Let’s just hope this guys gets many good years of solid Playstation ONE enjoyment out of his newly aquired consoles. After all, he just dumped $900 into hardware that’s really only worth about $200 or so. Actually… if you really think about it, he probably shouldn’t feel much worse than those that just paid $1500 for an actual PS3. From the general reaction of those who were able to get their hands on one, this guy is probably better off.

At least he got up to 5 feedback before he never used eBay again.
